For our Spring Seasonal cocktail mixer, Grapefruit Fleur de Sel, we partnered with local company, See Salt, to make this flavor shine. See Salt’s hand-harvested fleur de sel is carefully sourced to elevate anything it touches. This ingredient is essential in our Spring seasonal flavor, opening up all the beautiful flavors in the organic Rio Red grapefruits. But what’s a happy hour without a little food? We got together with Jessica from See Salt to put together a snack that would pair perfectly with a cocktail made with Grapefruit Fleur de Sel!
When it comes to food, Jessica is an expert in making things delicious, beautiful, and perfectly seasoned. We wanted to create something that would complement the grapefruit season. Magic happens when you combine grapefruits and avocados. We don’t know what it is but it’s FACT.
This simple Black Sesame Grapefruit Avocado Toast has the right flavors to pair with our French Grapefruit cocktail. You’ll want to sip your cocktail with every bite of crunchy baguette topped buttery avocado. The Rio Red grapefruit segments burst with citrusy sweetness and just the right amount of bitterness. Thinly sliced red onion, a sprinkle of black sesame seeds, and a pinch of See Salt’s Fleur de Sel pull this all together for a perfect Spring snack.
We imagine you whipping up this snack to sip along with a cocktail made with Grapefruit Fleur de Sel on any spring day. To pair with this appetizer, we made this variation of the French Blonde with Iconic Grapefruit Fleur de Sel, Vodka, Lillet Blanc, and lemon bitters. We even named it after Jessica’s daughter, Amelia, to help celebrate this loving mother on the team!

Jessica's Black Sesame Grapefruit Avocado Toast
- 1 Baguette, cut on a basis
- 1 Rio Red Grapefruit, segmented
- 1 avocado
- 1 lime, cut in half
- 1/4 red onion, cut into thin slices
- 1/2 tablespoon black sesame seeds
- pinch of See Salt Fleur de Sel
- EVOO as needed
Named after Jessica's littlest one, we designed this cocktail with mom in mind. The bright and delicate Lillet Blanc pairs with Grapefruit Fleur de Sel making this effervescent and light. The Lillet also adds justttt a little extra ABV to the cocktail which mom deserves.
- 1.5oz Vodka
- .5oz Lillet Blanc
- 1oz Iconic Grapefruit Fleur de Sel
- .5oz Iconic Lime Leaf Tonic
- Lemon bitters
-Combine all in a shaker and shake with ice
-Strain into a short glass
-Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel and finish with a touch of lime zest.
